The work of the Sustainability Board can be reported to the Board of Directors through the General Manager. The main focus of the Sustainability Board is the creation of environmental policies and the management of the environment. In this context; An institutional structure has been established in order to monitor environmental impacts and climate change issues and the risks within this scope with a wide participation and at the highest level. All relevant units of our company contribute to this committee by expressing their opinions, and the decisions taken are supported and instructions of the General Manager, who is the highest executive of the company, are implemented.

Our company's understanding of sustainability; It is supported by our environmental activities such as efficient use of natural resources and energy, continuous monitoring of emissions, effective management of wastes, R&D projects related to environmentally compatible product and technology development. Our company's understanding of environmental responsibility is based on the principle of taking voluntary initiatives to continuously improve environmental performance and increasing environmental investments, while fulfilling legal requirements.

Environmental Management in our company is carried out within the Integrated Management System, which includes ISO 9001 Quality Management System, OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System. It supports ZDHC's Sustainable Chemical Management goals by continuously improving all chemical management systems in its supply chain, ensuring its progress towards zero hazardous waste.

Waste Management: Optima Kimya benefits from its own treatment plant and the treatment services of the Organized Industrial Zone in which it is located, in order to properly dispose of the wastes from its production.

Development of products in line with Oeko-Tex 100 standards in textile: In line with Eko-Tex standards, which impose limitations on the substances on textile products in order to ensure ecological compatibility, limited raw materials are not used in Optima Kimya products or they are not exceeded.

Optima chemistry chemicals are produced in accordance with the requirements of bluesign®, GOTS 5.0 (Global Organic Textile Standard) and Oeko-tex 100 standards and do not contain chemicals in the priority chemical groups listed in the ZDHC MRSL above the specified limits.

They fully comply with authorities' and brands' restricted chemical lists (RSLs), along with legislation affecting the textile and apparel supply chain. They do not contain Substances of Very Concern (SVHC) and azo dyes, Alkylphenol and ethoxylates (AP/APEOs), Chlorinated aromatic compounds (AOX) and formaldehyde, which are restricted in Annex 17 of the REACH regulation, above acceptable limit values.

In the Integrated Management System Policy, which also includes the Environmental Policy; “To be respectful to people and the environment by focusing on protecting our natural environment,  To reduce waste, increase the recycling rate, reduce the use of natural resources,  We are committed to using energy efficiently and increasing the share of renewable energy sources in energy use. In this context, it is aimed to reduce emissions to receiving environments such as air-water-soil, to reduce unit consumption such as raw materials-energy-water, to reduce waste by increasing recycling and efficiency. The area is monitored by indicators.

Our company does not consider its investments to reduce its environmental impact as a cost factor. With its productivity-enhancing projects, it both minimizes its environmental impact and increases its sustainable profitability. In this context, energy efficiency-enhancing projects, which are among our most important inputs, are continuously developed and our unit energy consumption and environmental impact are tried to be minimized. Our unit energy consumption is one of the most important indicators we monitor, and it is constantly improving due to the maintenance stance.
